CAREER PARK TRUST is registered under The Indian Trusts Act 1882 and is an ISO 2008:9001 certified organization started in the year 2009 by a team of socially conscious youth who had interests of uplifting the downtrodden community of the country with special focus on Jammu & Kashmir. Career Park Trust is empaneled by NSDC & other Ministries as Project Implementing Agency (PIA) having presence in more than seven states. The organization is in the field of Education, Vocational training, Placement, Social awareness, manufacturing, marketing & exports for a decade. Career Park Trust is also having MoUs with prestigious Indian Army in providing professional skill training to rural youth, PWDs, women, Artisans & Craftsmen of Jammu & Kashmir under the OP Sadhbavana Scheme helping in providing livelihood and financial independence to dedicated & talented unemployed youth, besides generating women Empowerment in remote & under developed areas of the country. In this modest endeavor, under the guidance of the Indian Army the Self-help groups (SHGs) created by this organization, have been able to create genuine, pure and exceptional consumer/food products under the name & style of GOODWILL brand sold in all non CSD Canteens of the Indian Army across the country, which provides employment to approximately five hundred youth including the PWDs.

Kashmir province being predominantly an agricultural hub, with production of world class fruits such as Apples, cherries, Pears & Dry Fruits. There is a vast scope & potential in food industry sector as employment generation industry, that is why thousands of youths are already engaged here with this industry to sustain economically. Employability potential of the Agro based food industry here in Jammu & Kashmir is vast ,to augment this opportunity we wish to provide placement linked skill training in Food Processing Sector in association with your Department so that unemployed economically weaker youth of the Jammu & Kashmir can be skilled & placed in food processing sector to earn their livelihood in a dignified manner & also can have an opportunity to start their self-employment units after getting skilled..

We have established food processing units to provide the placement linked training to the educated unemployed youth with an intention to provide captive placements and to develop new thinking and skills in youth through our institutional programs & establishment of Skill Centers. We believe that delivering dedicated services to the rural community will be a crucial part of successful urban community, lest rural masses will immigrate in to urban places and chaos will start. Our future work will focus on the link between compact, connected and accessible urban works and long-term value for rural development. Year by year, we have been developing our institutions under the umbrella of this organization. we are also now actively expanding the roll out of the initiatives in other states of the country and hope we will soon make our foot prints in whole of the country. The aim is to minimize the inequality, by systemizing institutions and bringing markets to the people, acting as both suppliers and consumers. Our approach is threefold, through which we hope will create the ‘means for development’. This methodology is based on pilot field experiments and trials, which have made us, realize the multiplicity of demands and thus the necessity to act on diverge needs at the same time.

The three disciplinary units are “Social sector”, “Economic sector”, Environment sector”. In this context, the setting up of placement linkages will improve the service delivery mechanism of the current unemployment and create linkages within the existing infrastructure to fill the void between supply and demand. Evidences from the field suggest that resources are being miss-utilized and the required end products and services are not reaching the intended beneficiaries. Thus, our aim is to work on the existing mechanism itself to enhance the functioning of the sector. The approach for imparting skill development training has to be holistic so that none of the segment of the society can remain untouched with the interventions on the ground and can benefit from the programs. However it is seen that due to demographic challenges a major segment of the society comprising of Minority , Women, ST/SC and PwD’s don’t have equal access to the formal skill .The exclusion of the disadvantaged group( Minority Youth etc ) from main stream skill development training will not only affect the employability of the group but will hamper the entire skill ecosystem in the long run. Development needs to be continuous, sustainable and replicable so that the impact of it can reach to the wider range of audience. Sustainable development has three key facets: equity and social inclusion (all members of a society, regardless of gender, race or income, have access to quality learning opportunities and can direct their own development); economic empowerment (people have not only the knowledge and skills but also the opportunities for gainful employment and entrepreneurship); and ensuring environmental protection (social and economic development do not destroy natural resources). Skilling is a key tool in achieving sustainable development. The Self-Help Groups created by this organization Manufacture / Process / Market different products including Pure & Genuine Organic food products such as different varieties of Kashmiri Honey including Acacia Honey, Saffron Honey, Cinnamon Honey, Ginger Honey, Honey& Apple Cider Elixir, Forest Honey, Famous Kashmiri Saffron, Kashmiri Green Tea (Kashmiri Kahwah) Shilajeet, Walnuts, Walnut Giri, Almonds, Almond Giri, Apricot, Apple & Cherry Jam, Apricot & Peach Jams, vegetable Pickles etc. Apart from food products, Quality LED Lamps, Kashmiri Silk Sarees, Traditional Kashmiri Embroidery Suits, Pure Kashmiri Shawls are also manufactured under the GOODWILL Brand.
